My brother in the windy city of Chicago has always told me “you vote for a Democrat to live like a Republican”. Is that a familiar phrase to anyone?

Yes, I've heard that BS before coming from old line 'Rat politicians, but it's a ridiculous line that means zilch in the real world - unless the person being addressed is going to get a cushy government job for his vote. Otherwise, big-time tax and spend Dems like "Osama" Obama are not very good for the general economy.

In Chicago it’s a little more basic. If you want to live you vote Democrat and when you die you will your vote to the party.
