Conservatives are defined as believing in rugged individualism and personal responsibility, they are not real big on joining and group think.
Even if it is to provide housing for homeless toe suckers????
We need to gain control of the Republican Party.
bump
Jim DeMint has a PAC, Senate Conservatives Fund, dedicated to electing conservative senators. senate conservatives.com
One of the main problems is that for the most part, conservatives have missed the boat when it comes to social media.
The political conversation has moved. Yes, talk radio is still important however; the masses, the community and the way to get the message and the vote out is through social media.
Moderate Conservative/ Anystreet.org understands that. Few others do.
If we don't embrace technology and adapt to this medium quickly, we will continue to lose elections.
People keep talking about how badly liberals do in talk radio...It doesn't matter much with the social media machine they have built online.
There's a lot of catching up to do and it takes time. If people don't start now, trust me, the result in 2010 won't be much different.

GOP Trust's Rev. Wright ads were lame-o. I can't believe they blew $5 mil on them. Such a softball ad.
I notice you give G.W. Bush a pass you don't afford to his father or Dole. W. has been a disaster for Republicans. And not because of his policy failures, but rather his complete and utter inability to connect and communicate with the American people in any way. He destroyed our brand by seeming not to give a sh*t, even though he obviously does.
huckpac??? We don’t need more politicians telling us how to think, we need to tell them how we think... that is what she is looking for a group of proactive people who will take on his ten million man internet machine.
Move-on.org is funded by George Soros. When you have the money to pay your bills you can afford to go full time activist... but more than move-on is what KOS developed.
It wasn’t intentional. I was just condensing history.
I totally agree with your comment about our current President. A nice enough guy, but an ineffective mass communicator and a non-user of the bully pulpit.
He took entirely too much guff from less worthy opponents, and totally screwed the GOP with his new tone, which was basically a surrender to Democrats.
My last call to the WH comment line was yesterday. I asked when the President was going to take action against the NY Times for AGAIN revealing top secret military information in a time of war, about the order to go into other countries to hunt down Al Qaeda. With calls to my two Senators and my Congressman as well to the same effect.
Just another example of feckless leadership.
Great point, but I do think them joining together is what formed the United States of America! :-).
There is only ONE true grassroots conservative group:
THE FREE REPUBLIC
Don’t mean to be rude; but when you put it like that it sounds too much like those commie ones faking being America.
I like Save America Now
we may need to accept the fact that the white house will never again be Republican....
we may not be able to win the country....
but the country is states, and counties, and cities.....
we start there.....
we get the majority of the governorships and once again take over the Senate or the House....
we need to determine early in January who we will support and start donating early...
we give in 2009 and 2010.....
no more sitting on the side lines.....
and we better be prepared to volunteer like no other time in our lives....
Could you please translate what you wish to say into someting lucid?
For the reader: HuckPAC members look for truly conservative candidates for local, state, and federal office. Many of these are incumbents targeted by the worst/largest left-wing organizations.
Really? What does Free Republic do, to influence voters on behalf of conservative candidates -- especially for local and state offices?
