Steele is an excellent choice.
Gingrich and Fred Thompson should do what they do best ... take to TV and radio and shout about conservatism for the next two years as often as they can.
It would be good (if it could get on TV) for one or both of them to do a series like Fred Friendly did years ago on the issues, something like Ethics in America.
Perhaps. But I believe a stronger message would be sent should Michael Steele be the face of Republican dissent in America. Gingrich and Thompson can assist, but Steele should be the spearhead.
YES YES YES!!!!
I bet a lot of us here would pitch in to run some “educational” ads. People need to be educated on some basic concepts of free market economy, constitutional issues, etc and maybe it would be better if it was not coming from the Republican party. Maybe some entertaining and informative short info-commercials to be put into some of the prime time TV shows (since a lot of the people that need to hear this won’t be listening to Rush Limbaugh, etc.)
I also think that Palin should start a weekly podcast, explaining, clarifying and promoting true conservative ideals. It would be similar to Ronald Reagan giving speeches throughout the country on conservatism, but updated for the new technologies. Without the McCain handlers and hinderers, she can speak directly to the Americn people and four years from now be a solid choice.
Steele is PRO-CHOICE.
Among the names mentioned, Newt is the most experienced and senior political organizer - which is exactly what the RNC needs.
He created GOPAC - the organization that Steele now leads.
Newt is my first choice but I believe that Steele could do a decent job.
