President Bush has one the lowest Presidential approval ratings in history, and you think he helped??

This leftward move did not just happen by accident. It was brought about by the government school establishment, the media, Hollywood and the federales in DC. All of which are encouraged, funded and perpetuated by the liberal socialist Republican and Democrat establishments.
I do not disagree with you. It is the state we find ourselves in. And for the reasons you list. Schools, media Hollywood, etc.
Congress and our elected representatives have made the slow march left over time. Now we must make that same march back to the right. And it will be slowly.
Bush helped by not sticking with conservative principles and reaching across the aisle. Not vetoing bills, not standing firm on other issues besides terrorism and Iraq/Afghanistan. He bet his mark on history on those issues alone. Not conservatism.
Neither Bush 41 or Bush43 were conservatives ... they were centrists. Clinton could be considered a centrist. Obama well that remains to be seen, his rhetoric is Marxist.
There is no magic bullet to make the change quickly. One step, one principle at a time moving back to center and then further to the right..
