You mean like when the first AWB went into place? I seem to miss the mass uprising, the running gun battles, and the millions of outraged gun owners fighting back when the original AWB took effect...
There was no gun confiscation with the original AWB. Existing "assault rifles" were grandfathered in. That's why there wasn't trouble. You didn't have JBTs kicking down doors to steal people's firearms.

You didn't have JBTs kicking down doors to steal people's firearms. Jack-booted thugs aren't stupid and have families that depend on them.

Oh no? At least, not on a large scale.

There were quite a few cases of people going to jail for illegal AW's during the ban. Even now, the 80% manufacturing crowd gets raided. The recent case of the guy with a malfunctioning AR from Wisconsin got 30 months in jail even without an AWB...
The Feebies don't need an excuse to kill us. They just need to be let loose. Something Barack will more than likely do regardless of whatever legislation gets passed.
Wars already started. No one cares...

"There was no gun confiscation with the original AWB." Not only that, but the original AWB was nonsense which only outlawed combinations of features. With a fixed stock, no bayonet lug, and no flash suppressor, one could still buy an AR-15 type rifle.
Even in the People's Republic of Kalifornia, with THREE different assault weapons laws, it is still possible to buy an AR-15 type rifle as long as one takes off the plastic pistol grip.
The new, improved Obama AWB will probably attempt to close the "loophole" by simply outlawing anything that fires a bullet. Water guns will still be allowed, with a license.
