The things that pass for "conservatism" these days amaze me.

Actually, RNC Chair is not an “idea” place. It is a brawler, neanderthal place. The Chair has to battle more than theorize. I’m not saying he doesn’t need to be smart, but Newt is way to intellectual and not nearly enough cut-throat.
