Minnesota is becoming to 2008 politics what Florida was in 2000 or Washington State in 2006 - a real mess. The outcome will determine if the Democrats get 58 members of the US Senate, giving them an effective filibuster-proof vote on many issues.
When voters woke up on Wednesday morning after the election, Senator Norm Coleman led Al Franken by what seemed like a relatively comfortable 725 votes. By Wednesday night, that lead had shrunk to 477. By Thursday night, it was down 336, By Friday it was 239. Late Sunday night, the difference had gone down to 221 - a total change over 4 days of 504 votes.

Coleman is in a lot of trouble and has asked for volunteers to observe the recount. Anyone in Minnesota or who can travel there for the recount proceedings to defend the integrity of the electoral system - and see to it that the joker Franken doesn't get to Washington - please go to http://www.colemanforsenate.com .
Bush should have won both Wisky and Minnesota in 2004.
Is there any explanation, official, unofficial, foreign, domestic, etc., as to how an unbiased count can produce mistakes and or found ballots so overwhelmingly in one direction. Statistically, this has got to be a true and simple impossibility.
The people of Minnesota have lost their minds.
I hope Coleman wins. I think he will. It may be like dozen votes, but he would pull it out.
Franken is a hater and a lunatic.
GOP needs moderates and losing Coleman would be sad.
You can call him Sen. Franken. We all know where this is going.
At least we now know what happened to Bullwinkle’s magic hat: the dims are pulling votes out of it...
I’m waiting for the announcement that 2 ballot boxes were found in the trunk of a car containing a total of 4000 ballots which go for franken 90-10, putting this outside the reach of a recount..
I wish the above was sarcasm, but sadly, it’s bound to happen..
I’m waiting for another box of votes to found floating in the Mississippi by the Wasbasha Bridge to be found...all for Frankenstein of course.
If he does win. How will the Democrats deal with him? To my way of thinking the only thing he is is a body to get 60 D Senators in the Senate.
well, wally, you could just go to colemans site and donate a few bucks or you can sit there and play a loser on the internet....
they voted for Jesse Ventura.
C’mon over and state your case again on why Coleman deserves to lose.
That's a no brainer..............
I just checked the MN Senate race, and Coleman’s lead is “down” to 206 votes. I am very nervous about this race.
Naw. They thought it would be "cool" to have a comedian as their senator.
PATHETIC!
How do all these extra votes just happen to materialize? Here in Texas, the election judges have to publicly post the number of voters who have cast votes every 2 hours starting at 9:30 am (2.5 hours after polls open) at the entrance to every voting precinct. The total number of people casting ballots is pretty easy to determine at poll closing time. Also there is a list of persons casting provisional ballots. Considering every precinct has both a Republican and Democrat judge, I really can't see where there's room for adding more ballots days later.
I must admit, you are trying to pose as a reasonable Republican. However, statements like this reveal the real, moronic, liberal, you. Go back to where you came from, and regale your fellow Socialists with your exploits here. We see through the act.
Coleman should sue to have EVERY vote cast in the state validated as to its legality . Those voters found to have voted illegally should than be prosecuted in the courts .
Right on the money! All we need is more moderates to make sure we stay in the minority forever.
