No. The government does not bother to extend this courtesy to American citizens NOT ENGAGED IN TERRORISM, but under seige in their homes, even with children present. Recall Ruby Ridge and Waco?

The press has more sympathy for foreign terrorists (and the innocent civilians who serve tea and cookies to those “using them as human shields” - after joining them in 5x daily prayer and washing them) than innocent Americans anyway. The government has apparently accepted the same policy.
