widely-circulated interview of Newsweek editors worrying about Obama’s contortions (”this creature” and “creepy”)

I missed this. Anybody got a thread?

SNORT

The first President-elect Obama Press conference. Suggestions

1) call on 1 opposition press person at least 1 time
2) Don’t talk more about hypo-allergenic puppies more than the state of the world
3) Don’t make cheap cuts about an aged former first lady that would better apply to Hillary Clinton
4) Use the teleprompter more

The Democrat’s media will never again be considered credible by half the nation.

"Indeed conservatives are more likely to wait and see"

If you're waiting to see then you are consummate evil.

We've seen. Over the ages, we've seen, and we know what's coming. And we know what to do.

”…that they utterly lost their reputations for credibility…”

My God, how many times can that happen?

So is the elite media worried Obama will prove a centrist rather than a liberal? Or a black nationalist rather than a hope and change healer? Or that they have been so stung that they utterly lost their reputations for credibility they are now scrambling to restore a shred of them? Or do they wish to be a day ahead of the curve and now somehow fill the void created by the departure of the anti-Christ George Bush and be on the cutting-edge of slicing Obama? Or are they such sad creatures of the day, that they simply babble, then re-babble as the hourly perceptions change?

I vote for the babbling babblers.

Rush played the audio clips several times on Friday. Very amusing…

The MSM, though totally committed to getting Obama elected, is now having second thoughts about being sealed for time and eternity to the fate of the Obama presidency. As far as many conservatives are concerned, especially yours truly, the MSM has bought and paid for him, and they own him and the consequences of his presidency, whether it brings economic disaster, dictatorship or World War III. We must never, ever let them forget or deny their responsiblity for what they may have wrought on America and the world. It’s far too late for them to regain the mantle of mere journalists.

They will be finding out that Barack Obama is no “liberal.”

I don’t think they are having second thoughts just yet. It’s still very early. They will have to either become defacto PR people or do the real job of a journalist.

After all, they were 90% liberal before the election and will be after.

“The Media Mea Culpa on Obama”

I noticed the ‘now what’ media comments also.

We’ve been trying to tell these idiots about Obama’s ‘plans’ for America — based on his past record(or lack thereof)— for some time, but pattern recognition doesn’t seem to be one of their strong points...

... must be an ‘IQ’ thing.

Sad, very sad. Buyer’s remorse perhaps? Attacking “the man” by destroying infrastructure and then finding out that the atm at bank that has the trust fund doesn’t work and the internet is down.

There is one thing worse than lying to the masses and that is deceiving them.

They all stood in awe as he spoke to the crowds.
Agreeing with him on every one of his campaign phrases and platitudes.
When asked what he meant by each one of his promises they all heard something different.

When he begins the task of putting into law his vague and nuanced platform, there is one thing sure to happen the rest will feel betrayed.

I thought he was going to put Unions first, ensuring we can squeeze the life from management. If he does that, then the industries will fail and the stock market will go under.
He will either carry out his marxist agenda and kill all chance of recovery, or he will lean to the right and help the free market recover and thus save his Presidency.
He could have several liberal factions turn on him all at once, or if he tries to satisfy them he will have the majority of tax payers angry.

Nah. Clinton went without holding a press conference for a full year at one point, and I expect Obama will do the same.

That was a symbolic press conference yesterday. I doubt whether we’ll seen many more. I think it was at least a month since his last real press conference—and that was during the election, when he needed them.
