I fail to understand why any republican would go on these talk shows, including anything on Fox. Since Fox is under orders not to criticize the One, assume the guests can't either and if they do they will be cut off quickly.

Confirming the worst fears of millions of dedicated fans, the Fox News Channel really has gone soft on Obama. That's at a time when viewers are counting on it to remain a key opposition voice during a disturbing political shift away from freedom and prosperity.

According to columnists Rush & Malloy of the New York Daily News, Fox has issued a chilling edict to its hosts that they must cease criticism of Obama for the near future.

“Fox has issued a chilling edict to its hosts that they must cease criticism of Obama for the near future”

Considering how much The Rookie singled them and Hannity out by name....I’d hazard a guess they are terrified of being the first up for deletion when the Fairness Doctrine is reinstated.

..as if the medium-term future would be any more relaxed of an environment.

It was thought that the Fairness Doctrine would apply to the public (not premium-paying cable, for example) airwaves only, but who can guess at what limits they would stop?

Did we take an external DOS hit here all of yesterday?

Yeah, all that apparent, mindless Bush bashing wasn't so mindless in how it was directed, eh? Look what got swept in under the rug.

Whoa...I missed that. Do you have a link for the story?

Are you serious about that criticism of The One?

Really?

Dear God.

What interests me is were they told not to criticize him BEFORE we voted. I thought it very strange last Sunday that twice Newt tried to bring up the O’s Coal comments (that suddenly surfaced out of thin air when it was too late) and each time Cavuto cut him off and didn’t let him talk. Nothing I saw the final week, before we voted, from Fox was a head-scratcher. When I read the article last night that Rupert has told all his entities to treat the O with kid gloves it made sense... Fox is not persona non gratta on my TV screen. I’m going to be watching a lot of movies from here on out.
