Crim, scientists who study memory find that many people's memories deceive them. There is an entire theory in psychology that arose in the late 50s and has been widely discussed and augmented since then, called "attribution theory", in which people perceive things according to their internal biases, conditioning, or preconceived ideas to a large extent.

Also, since the advent of DNA testing, there are many cases in which eyewitnesses made a so-called positive ID of a suspect and testified under oath leading to the suspect's imprisonment, but the person was freed years later due to DNA exclusion. People's perceptions and memories in emotional situations are not always accurate.

The best most of us can say in a strange, crowded situation like a huge political rally is, "I believe I heard xyz" — not "I heard it with my own ears." Were you standing next to the shouter, with a clear line of sight and with your eyes trained on him before he shouted and during the shout; and did you see his lips move, forming the word "kill" instead of "tell"? Otherwise, you may have attributed the word "kill" when in fact he said "tell," due to your own anger that Ayers got off scot-free.

Spare me the psyco babble...I know what I heard...and I imeadiately knew the shout refered to ayres.

Again..the SS doesnt dispute the shout...they discount the threat to Obama (in reference to the clearwater rally)
