Please, please, please pick your fights. There is such a thing as the Office of President-Elect (and Office of Vice President-elect) it is part of General Services Administration’s Responsibilities and GSA uses those titles for the offices. Be careful to check things before going crazy. Every president-elect gets a transition office:

2008 Presidential Transition

“The Congress declares it to be the purpose of this Act to promote the orderly transfer of the executive power in connection with the expiration of the term of office of the President and the inauguration of a new President.”

The transfer of power from one administration to the next marks a significant moment in U.S. history. The Presidential Transition Acts of 1963 and 2000 give the General Services Administration (GSA) a prominent role in this process. They authorize the Administrator of GSA to provide the President-elect and the Vice-President-elect the services and facilities needed to assume their official duties.

Some of GSA’s responsibilities in support of the President-elect include:

*
Providing temporary office space, parking, furniture, telephones, furnishings, supplies, IT equipment, mail management, payroll, financial, contracting and other administrative services for the transition team;
*
Consulting with Presidential candidates prior to the general election, to develop a plan for computer and communications systems that will support the transition between the election and the inauguration;
* Paying for travel, printing, postal services and other expenses;
* Developing in collaboration with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) a transition directory to help familiarize key Administration officials with information about each department and agency;
* Coordinating orientation activities with high level nominees and appointees; and
* Supporting the Presidential Inaugural Committee

In addition, GSA provides a full suite of services to the outgoing President and former Vice-President as they transition from office. These responsibilities include:

*
Providing office space during the transition as well as a permanent office, communication systems, IT support, financial management, human resources management, telephones, parking, furniture, vehicles, office equipment, mail management and administrative support services, such as payroll and financial services, contracting, and other appropriate services;
* In collaboration with the National Archives and Records Administration provides support to former Presidents in the establishment and maintenance of their libraries.

People tend to not like this type of behavoir for very long. It will take awhile for his followers to figure out that he’s really a thug and the tide will turn. It’s just going to take some time. Most people are good and will see the evil seeping out of him and his circle.

You know, it strikes me that it’d be pretty entertaining to do a Barack Obama version of this guy:

He’s not President Elect until Congress counts and ratifies the votes of the Electoral College.

I like what someone else on this thread said. Present-Elect Obama. And Present Obama when he is elected.

I just got the joke. Duh.

It's not called "the office of the president elect. it has no official title. it's just office space provided FOR the president elect. Of course BHO with his swelled ego has to make it something else, and he even created his own "seal" for it. Incredible. it's pretty obvious a lot of planning went into his planned theft through election fraud of the presidency. The only question is, does the MSm own him, or does he own MSM?

Jimmy Carter had his fireside chats. I remember a guy called in and wanted the government to support Jai Alai, or however you spell it. And Carter said he thought that was a good idea. We survived four years of that dunce. Hopefully we can survive four of the Zero. Then again, when Carter was president we didn’t have a congress who hated America and republicans were real conservatives.

I beg your pardon but it is called the Office of President-Elect and has always been called that by GSA. I retired from GSA and had worked some on the Bush 43 transition. What other title would you give his space? I know I am opening up a bunch jokes here but that is what it is. I just think it is best to choose what you attack carefully. This is one that would come back at whoever makes this charge. There is so much better stuff to focus your attention on.

Oh, honey, don’t you have a plan?

We aren’t turning on the tv until March. We want to wait until black history month is over.

Now I will watch a movie or a particular tv show (Lord forbid that I miss The Office — although I will watch this week’s show online), but news shows, political shows, channel surfing, that sort of thing is verboten until March.

His space? If thats what you’re talking about it sounds like rooms, like the responding poster said. That podium in Chicago isn’t “his space”.

Anyway, I’m hoping someone can produce pictures from prior first president-elect pressers. Those will surely expose his pretentious, narcissistic ass.

I don’t know about pressers but there were signs made up on the door to the offices and the stationary included that title . So this is not that big of a deal. It is his official title (and what gets him the right to hear all that national security stuff!lol).
