No. I took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. He has stated that he considers the Constitution an obstacle to his designs for this country. That makes him my enemy.

I also commented (a few days ago) about Free Republic being turned into a “rah-rah” board, and not much of substance (just like the “other side” does). Many don’t think the polls are accurate and get out their “rah-rah” tools and rant and rave — and then, the polls turn out to be right, after all.
I’ve seen it in the Presidential elections of 2000, 2004 and now 2008, and the last mid-terms of 2006.
This is a similar type of thing, as the vanities. There is getting to be less and less useful information here and less and less useful discussion here. I’m afraid this board is going downhill — into a typical “college discussion board” (like you’re saying)...

I am a conservative American Obama is a liberal. Obama is now the president of the United States and as such I will afford him the exact amount of respect the liberals granted George W Bush his predecessor.

For myself, I need the fellowship of conservatives right now. This is not going to be an easy four years and it isn’t just Obama. We are facing some scary times financially.
As for Obama being my president. Whew. Yeah, he is president elect. I’m an American. That means he will be my President. And I fully expect this man and his administration to:
1. Rub out any and all dissenting voices. i.e. Fairness Doctrine. Drive By Media, and the destruction of lives as he attempted to do to Joe the Plumber.
When this happens, I will fight back against this thug, this socialist, who has now been elected as President of the United States. God help us all."

Perfectly said, and I entirely agree. "Vanity" threads allow for commentary and discourse. I'm so sick of most every article coming out of the LameStream Press right now. Even Fox News was gloating over Obama's Press Conference today. (I wouldn't care if Fox took Shep Smith immediately off-air as long as they took Colmes right along with him.).

I just read a vanity where the person *completely forgot* to include any of the “who, what, when, where, why”....
You had to actually *read his mind* to figure out who he was talking about and then guess on any of the other details. It was like he was doing a “brain dump” and wanted to see what it looked like on Free Republic... LOL...

We’re only doing the same as the MSM has been doing for the past two years and will be doing for the next year, or the next term.
