For me, BO and DNC reaction to Phil Berg’s lawsuit is the red flag. Maybe during the campaign, refusing to produce the BC is a political trap for McCain if he raises the issue and prove it wrong. The elections are over and BO has nothing to gain by not producing it. So on 1 Dec 2008, the Supreme Court has asked BO and DNC to respond to Phil Berg’s suit (it made it to Justice Souter who refuse to delay the elections but demand for a response) will be the first clue. If BO and DNC produces the BC, case over, but if BO and DNC counters with a legal response to dismiss the case, RED FLAG everyone.

Yep. I could never quite decide if this was a real issue, or if Obama and gang were sitting on a legitimate birth certificate just because it bugged us and gave them the chance to release it and ridicule McCain as a tool of the "right wing kooks" if he ever questioned it. The third option of having a real BC but a confusing history of name changes, questionable paternity and multiple Kenyan/Indonesian/US citizenships was just easier to avoid by trying to bury the issue altogether.

Throw on top of that people following red herrings of fonts and image strangeness on the certification of live birth that could be explained by the fact that it was beaten to death by JPEG compression leaving all sorts of image artifacts on it.
