Annenberg didn't want to spend $2 on their own folded copy? There is no way to create their folded copy (e.g. http://www.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/birth_certificate_5.jpg )with photoshop (including folds and embossing). They would have to use the same templates and software as the state of Hawaii (not impossible) and an embosser that is the same as the state's (not impossible either).

But it would take a lot of effort and would easily be caught or ratted out.

“Has any representative of a reputable news organization...or any representative of the RNC or other political organization that might be “unfriendly” to Osama...ever been allowed into the State of Hawaii’s Vital Records room to see his records?”

THE GOVERNOR OF HAWAII IS A REPUBLICAN AND SO ARE HER APPOINTEES.

Obama is playing you. Wake up dude.

Andy Martin has a court hearing Tuesday, November 18th in the Circuit Court for Honolulu, Hawai’i at 10:30 A.M. to force release of Obama’s original birth files.

I think he is trying to fit a memorial in for Granny. They never said anything about putting her under.

A birth certificate instead of the COLB would be nice. So we could see the doctors, witnesses, etc.

I agree, the original would be ideal. But the reproduction satisfies my skepticism. Again, Annenberg would have to photoshop one together, print it, emboss it, fold it, then photograph it. Not impossible, but do you seriously think they do that in secret?

He DOESN’T want the controversy to go away. He, and a lot of dems, want to come to Free Republic every day and read a 300 reply thread on the “truth” of Obama’s Kenyan birth and get a good chuckle. They are maxing out their credit cards buying more popcorn.

If the electoral college asks for it, or some other court action succeeds, then he’ll simply produce it and make everybody look like a bunch of jackasses.

The Republican Governor of Hawaii, the one who spoke at the convention, has tried to head off the crank parade by viewing the certificate with the division head of vital records in Hawaii and making a public statement to the effect that is proper, legal, and valid.

The people who don’t want this to die (Dan Rather Syndrome) are now convinced that, “She’s been assimiliated.”

Let’t give it up and “M@ve @n.”

From everything I’ve heard Hawaii shares the same rules. I’m astonished that Massachusetts doesn’t.

Yes,as I've said before each state has its own laws...some are strict and others are lax.I've done family research that's involved several states...mostly Massachusetts but also New Hampshire,Connecticut and one or two others. The laws of Massachusetts are quite lax whereas, for example, the laws of New Hampshire are quite strict,as were Connecticut's IIRC.

And I agree with you that it's surprising to see states with lax laws...particularly in these days of identity theft, stalking, child abduction, etc.

If his birth was announced in the Hawaii newspaper in 1961, as this author has claimed, where is a microfiche of the paper from that day, including the announcement? Surely, a copy of the newspaper is open to the public. If nothing else, it might answer some of the questions, namely, what was his birth name? And who were his named parents?

It's not the same as a birth certificate, but it'd be a start.

To those who insist that this matter should be settled by the posting of a document on the intenet, I would ask if you now expect that government officials should accept all documents on the net as being sufficient proof of anything.

We face a Constitutional crisis if the president elect cannot demonstrate that he is qualified by producing the most elementary of documents, especially if the federal court and executive branch show no appetite for enforcing the Constitution.

Could military officers serve such a Commander in Chief, or would their own oath and obligations force them to resign instead? Likewise for other federal employees who take an oath such as FBI agents.

We have a double standard in spades here. People who worried about the influence of Rev. Wright on BHO are forced to high standard of proof that cannot be met, yet a pass is given to BHO over his refusal to release a single authoritative document for inspection in a way that a third party can attest to its sufficiency.

>>>And officials of the State of Hawaii are certainly unlikely to put out false documents.

It isn’t exactly a false document issue with Hawaii; but more so of a flawed policy.

Hawaii allowed for a Certification of Live Birth documents to be recorded well after the birth of a foreign born individual. That is a person not born in Hawaii. Therefore, they provided a loophole for foreign born to immigrate to the USA without a legal standard path of citizenship.

ICE started investigations into illegal immigration in Hawaii over the summer. I’ve not seen a press release from ICE since then though.

Are you catching on now? Do you see the amazing harm that Osama could do to the VRWC if he were to do that and everything was kosher? And once you consider the magnitude of that harm do you start to think that Osama's allowing this matter to fester might not have such an innocent explanation?

You are correct that it would destroy the VRWC, but not correct in assuming that he or anyone in his circle want to destroy the VRWC. In fact they want and need the opposite.

Since Hawaii allows foreign birth certificates filed and provides the COLB, why does this satisfy you?

“Since Hawaii allows foreign birth certificates filed and provides the COLB, why does this satisfy you?”

Hawaii absolutely does NOT allow foreign births to be registered as if they occurred on US soil. This is simply false. Any other policy would be tatamount to granting US citizenship illegally and would face immediate challenge in court.

Because the COLB says he was born in Hawaii.
