Through that hook - “social justice” - the faithful are converted to the unfaithful; willing to accept abortionists because they are also going to “redistribute the wealth” to “the poor”.
Robin Hood did not steal from the rich. He took back from the corrupt local government the confiscatory taxes it had taken from the people.
Yeshua demanded NOTHING from Caesar; nothing for Himself; nothing for His followers; nothing for their mission; nothing for the people but that he quit taking what was theirs.
This notion of “redistribution” must be addressed as what it is. Mammon. Breaking of the ninth commandment. Wanting what others have. Jealousy. Greed. And if successfully done, breaking of the seventh commandment. Theft. Stealing.
Let’s face it. Poor people can be the worst offenders when it comes to the ninth commandment, because people want what they can’t have. And I think they get their theology twisted, because they see that rich man and they think about what Jesus said about the narrow gate. And they think that the rich guy is a glutton who doesn’t deserve what he has. And so they probably think they’re doing the guy a favor. When the fact of the matter is, unless we are in a position of responsibility to have to be concerned about the salvation of others (i.e. priests and bishops), we should really focus on ourselves and those we love, and our own salvation.
Some of us don’t understand that there may be a reason why God gives us little and gives that other guy a lot. They don’t understand that stuff is just stuff and quite frankly, none of us really owns any of it because it all belongs to God. They might just reject the idea of God altogether. It is really sad if you think about it.
That is why we all must pray for the conversion of hearts and minds in order to save souls.
