A “Fairness Doctrine” Act that targets talk radio would be un-constitutional as:

1) An infringement of the 1st Amendment. But even if they found a countervailing public interest to require equal time then:

2) An arbirtrary and capricious application of the law so as to discriminate against who is protected. This violates the “equal protection” clause, as do the “hate crime” laws.

The 1st amendment? That was put in place 200 years ago by a bunch of racist white guys. I'm sure it will be overruled by a progressive and ethnically sensitive congress...

On the other hand, talk radio could institute a fairness doctrine of their own.

Get a co-anchor who is a liberal. One as dumb, poorly spoken and ignorant as the average liberal and use them and their wacky ideas as a poltical punching bag!

You know, somebody with an I.Q. just a little above Larry King’s.
