yes, the left can’t run against Bush anymore. That takes away most of their energy. It will feel like a major let down after all the parties are over.

Not exactly. Surely, Bush can be blamed for quite some time for any mess Zero finds himself unable to magically make disappear. As the author of the piece said, they can even spend some time and energy trying to hand over Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al. over to the Hague.

Frankly, that last scenario would be quite rich. Nothing would incite the American heartland like watching American leaders even being threatened with being turned over to some kangaroo Eurocourt. And if it ever got too serious, Zero would have to think about how to stop it, can you imagine him giving pardons to Bush, etc. to stop the madness? His base would freak out big time.

I also think that the energy of the Left will be diverted by making enemies of those they made common cause with. There will only be so much pie to go around, and necessarily, some factions will get theirs first. Divisions will erupt that can be exploited. We should be prepared to do so the week of the inauguration.
