Some studies do show it helps the pointeyer bullets slide throug Kevlar, but then a 30.06 ought to do just fine straight out of the box. I wasn’t being technical, AP is pretty much out of the reach of law abiding citizens. Now spent uranium would be really good but I don’t think my roof would support a CIWS.
Yes ... I would imagine a 30.06 out of an M1 Garand would do the job quite well ... If I had one of course. ;)
