“..men are a little afraid overall of a women with too much power and they will make it so she is humiliated if she tries.”

I personally believe that men get quite upset with women and/or minorities who are put in a position of power based on their sex and/or race if they are seen as incompetent and/or they haven’t earned their new status. White, hetero-sexual Anglo American Males are the primary target of discrimination in this once great nation. Just look around objectively and try to argue against that. Anyone who falls outside of that definition (white, hetero, anglo, male) is in a protected class and therefore gets extra consideration - do you dispute that? If you do, you, madam, are blind and prejudiced.
If I put on my burka will you feel better? Get over yourself!
I'm not the OP but I'd like to throw in my .02 if I may.
I agree fully with the first part of this statement, and have taught my children the same. I want my girls to succeed, but on their merits, not at the expense of their brother. They get it, we all (truly conservative women) get it.
The problem we've encountered in this election cycle is the out and out disdain and hatred and ugliness lobbed at Sarah Palin that went largely unchecked by most in the media. SHE was a representative of a protected class? Could have fooled me! Yes, I know it's because she' conservative. That just makes it worse when other conservative women hear supposed conservative men justify her treatment.
