Sorry, dude. Huckster DESTROYED the Arkansas Republican party. Thanks to him, it may be a decade or more before we ever win a statewide office. The federal delegation shrank from 50% to 16.6% on his watch. He crippled the legislative numbers, which also shrank. He championed illegals, hiked taxes more than Clinton and RETAINED Clinton-Tucker Democrat government hacks (so many, in fact, that the incoming Dem Governor hardly fired anyone). All in all, Huckster was a DISASTER as Governor.
Huck is that you?
Huckster, is a moron RINO. They should ban you for posting this tripe.
I can’t even stand to watch his show. It’s an endless parade of leftist elites.
I am even cutting back Faux because they are bringing on RINO’s
And please refrain from calling him a conservative.
“Mike Huckabee, like John McCain, needs to go away”
Mike stayed in the race to help McCain beat others.
No.
No.
No.
Not Huckabee. Reasons? He’s from Arkansas. Need more? He’s a “Baptist Preacher” and the USofA needs a LEADER not a Preacher. I’ve been too closely related to Preachers and I don’t trust them any more than I trust Jeremiah Wright. They usually have the eloquence and the intonation down pat. But they don’t have the character to go along with it. In other words, I don’t trust a former Governor of Arkansas no matter what his name is and I don’t trust Preachers or people like Obama who use the sing-songy voice to mesmerize audiences.
NO thank you.
Had the Republicans chosen him, I would have either voted Hilary or Richardson and then sat out the vote if it had been Huckabee vs Obama. There are some things I will not do. Voting for a former Governor of Arkansas is one of them.
The real problem is the pollution of the conservative philosophy with false social dicta.
I remember, being a free-marketeer, how the True Conservatives (bear with me, it's an econ thread term) were rubbing a WSJ poll (from Summer 2007) in my face that showed Republicans were moving away from "free trade." Well, that same poll showed that more than 60% of Republicans favored socialized healthcare. I remember thinking at the time, this will come back to bite us.
Personally, I think that some of us have bitten too deeply into the lib "fairness" apple.
The Huckster is Bill Clinton with his pants zipped.
No thanks. Another big government Republican. Welfare for citizens is bad enough. For illegal aliens abominable. The Hucksters god is government,
uhm no!
he has a gig on fox now, he can stay there....
More like:
Haley Barbour/Bobby Jindal with Sarah Palin as Energy Secretary and Duncan Hunter as Secretary of State. And Mike Pence anywhere we can get him!!!
LOL, fair enough!
And you know this because swing voters actually had a say in the primaries where he lost??
Mike Huckabee? That’s who that was....I thought it was Jim Nabors.
I believe we need someone who not only believes in conservative values, but who can articulate them to the public in a clear persuasive manner. We need someone who is a passionate spokesman for conservatism and who will not pander, simper, apologize or “reach across the aisle” to any liberal personality or interest. We need someone who has a clear-headed view of this country’s history and the political forces that constantly try to drag us toward liberalism.
Attention Please Attention Please. All Hucksters please exit stage left.
Huckster, keep on strumin’ that guitar on your weekend show. Stay there with Geraldo the other weekend folk.
Huckabee is way to moderate for the kind of fight we have ahead of us.
