At the top of Thursday’s CBS Early Show, co-host Julie Chen praised Barack Obama’s election as the first African-American president but lamented the passage of California’s Proposition 8, preventing gay marriage: "One barrier falls, another returns. Married gays in legal limbo protest through the night as California voters ban same-sex unions." At the top of the 8AM hour, correspondent John Blackstone reported: "In disappointment, supporters of same-sex marriage gathered in Los Angeles last night, after the hard-fought campaign over California's Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage, they were on the losing side, but not ready to give up."
Blackstone went on to describe the fight that lay ahead: "This may, however, be just one more battle in California's long war over same-sex marriage. Gay rights advocates have already filed a lawsuit claiming Proposition 8 improperly writes discrimination into the state constitution." A clip was then played of the left-wing mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom: "Never before has our constitution been used to strip rights away." Blackstone did not offer the voice of a single person who supported the proposition.

CBS continues to show its desperation to create and manipulate biased news. These networks have committed themselves to lefitist propoganda, not journalism or real news reporting. Ignore them. They are useless.
Bet they also did not say that 70% of blacks voted for the ban either did they?
I stopped watching the TV MSM ages ago. It’s just feed for the ‘masses who are asses’ and can’t think for themselves. I read opposing newspapers if I want different viewpoints, or listen to NPR. The people who voted for ‘O’ are the majority of the viewership.

There can be no such thing as a “right” to marry. Marriage is an agreement. No one can guarantee ever finding another to enter into such an agreement. It cannot be a right.
The right to speech, kbr, religion, free press, petitition, etc., are all based in the individual and completely actionable by the individual.
My voice can speak. My hand can carry a gun. My soul can worship God.
My vow can marry without regard to anyone else? I don’t think so.
Well considering that they spent the entire campaign doing that for Chairman Hussein and he won, there’s no reason for them to stop now.

Well, I’ve been told by some who’ve worked in the media, that a lot are homosexuals, so what can we expect. Personally, I wouldn’t know one if I stepped on it.
Liberals will keep bringing the issue back until the vote goes their way (even if it takes 50 years) then they announce, “the people have spoken”.

That makes sense, but seems to fly in the face of the explicitly enumerated Constitutional right to peaceably assemble.
For what it's worth, I agree there's no right to marry, in the sense that the government has no business endorsing sexual relationships at all.
Also, I just got a chain email that says that ABC has sent out a memo banning all patriotic and flag pins...apparently verified by snopes, who knows...

If all these newsreaders and others that back this queer agenda believe in it so much, why don’t they enter into same-sex unions they so radicaly support? If Julie Chen wants to show her full support of this abomination, have her divorce her hubby and get in bed with another woman. Lead by example Jules. Show us you care that deeply that you would do that. And have everyone else like her do the same thing. Live with that choice long enough and they will ALL change their minds about the queer agenda. They will have seen the dark side of it.

The pro marriage propositions may have been defeated had the
gay “rights” people not been poised to force public schools to teach gay relationships as completely, utterly normal and no different from hetero relationships.
Also gay activists have always claimed they just want to be left alone. However they have brought their lifestyle into the public square - google Folsom st. fair Gay pride day or Gay parade and see the truth of their “private lives”.
