Your comment, about conservative minorities, reminded me about the 1992 election. Carol Moseley-Braun ran for the U.S. Senate, and many reporters talked about her, because she’s a black Democrat. During the same election, Alan Keyes ran for the U.S. Senate, but few reporters talked about him, probably because he’s a black Republican. The reporters didn’t want the Blacks to know that our country has any black republican politicians. If more Blacks knew about him, they might have considered voting for Republicans.
