The Senate Republican filibuster is the only thing that can stop Democrat tax increases, Republicans need to be clear that any tax increase legislation will be filibustered, and any Republicans that can’t, go get a new party designation, your not wanted

(Democrats Now Get Their Chance To Prove They Are "Good For The Economy")
America going hard left seems to echo Britain's history of cavalierly tossing aside Winston Churchill after he cleaned up yet another socialist mess by winning WWII. FWIW this
Pajamasmedia excerpt matches my own anecdotal experience with voters (embarrassingly?) mouthing the monosyllabic word "change" (as a mantra?) to justify their Obama vote to me.
But moving through the crowd in the moments before the networks called the race for Obama, I talked to a young couple who brought their children to the celebration including an infant. The huge bearded father had recently gotten out of the army after three tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He was proud of his service but was attracted to Obamas call to bring the troops home from Iraq. He also was disgusted with the corruption and incompetence of the Republicans and didnt see John McCain as anything but a continuation of policies that he believed were bad for the country.
When I asked him what policies of Obamas he supported besides the pullout from Iraq, he couldnt name a single thing. All he knew was that an Obama presidency would take the country in a different direction. ...
There is a very good chance that both the Iraq veteran and his wife would have eagerly supported a Republican for president just ten years ago.
Last night Michael Reagan brought up a potential unintended consequence of Obama's victory. Obama illustrates the success that a well spoken, well dressed, arguably black man can achieve in America. Maybe Obama can inspire people to drop the saggy baggy clown speak. (One of my female clients confides that she just goes ahead and violently jerks down the pants of such employees. LOL.) Perhaps sartorial splendor will come into fashion to replace old school cammo hard staring beret Che wannabe shtick.

Thanks for finding that transcript.
I agree there was some definite condemnation of conservatism by Pawlenty. He can take a hike too.

Absolutely.
The Republican Party needs to say:
We believe:
Lower taxes
No socialized Medicine
Strong Borders
No Amnesty
Domestic energy production
Strong National Defense
Those who do not accept these tenets are welcome to leave the Party.

No problem...His expression and tone was really derisive too. I was really disappointed because I had thought he was a strong conservative and would have loved for him to have a future.
Maybe he thought since his state went blue, he needed to do so also to salvage his office? How is his popularity?
