Palin/Jindal 2012

Sarah is a far better communicator who can touch & energize the core of conservatives. She is simply a better leader to voice the conservative mantra.

I agree that Palin is excellent when she's saying what she wants to say. Jindal is OK, but I keep remembering Tim Pawlenty's performance on MTP prior to the election. He bazitch slapped Tom Brokaw all over the set. Pawlenty may not be the most exciting Republican in the stable but he's among the most intelligent.

Palin/Pawlenty is OK by me.

Sarah is a far better communicator who can touch & energize the core of conservatives.

So, how did that go for us in this general election?

"Everybody Else Who is Not Conservative" greatly outnumber conservatives in the United States of America and they also get to vote. What "Everybody Else Who is Not Conservative" sees in Palin is somebody that was not a good enough "communicator" to be able to hold her own against Katie "Colonoscopy on TV" Couric and, at least, rattle off the actual names of four or five of the dozens of newspapers and magazines all of us on FR post from and critique constantly.

Does Sarah Palin Read?

How many FReepers could not automatically rattle off that, on the Internet, they regularly read articles from the Washington Post, the Washington Times, The New York Times, the New York Post, the National Review, The Guardian (UK), the Wall Street Journal?

To the majority of American voters outside of conservative circles, Sarah Palin, rightly or wrongly, has become a Dan Quail in a skirt. In other words, a punchline in a joke.

You cannot win a general election with such a candidate.

He’s the smartest person I have ever seen in politics. ..... ari-freedom

This is what Bobby Jindal brings to the table:

*************

Following high school, Jindal enrolled, and eventually graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, with honors in biology and public policy where he was a member of the Society of the Pacifica House. Although he had thought of a career in medicine or law and was accepted by Harvard Medical School and Yale Law School, he chose to pursue a political career. He received a master’s degree in political science from New College, Oxford, as a Rhodes Scholar. After Oxford, he joined McKinsey & Company, a consulting firm, where he advised Fortune 500 companies.

**********

Such a man would not be caught looking like a deer in the headlights when the likes of Katie Couric asks him where he gets his news.
