Yes, many of them came to me yesterday morning, asking what was to become of Iraq. They were looking to us Americans for some kind of reassurance.
We couldn't give it to them.
What's even worse is that they had been so upbeat lately with things being peaceful and the streets becoming lively and happy again.
So much sacrifice and hard work went into this...
But the French like us again, so that's more important than the people who have been fighting alongside of us these past years in Iraq, right? / sarc
I am so sad to hear that, however I am not surprised one bit. The 62M voters that cast a ballot for defeat and abandoning a fledgeling allie should be ashamed. I fear that they will have blood on their hands, but I pray that this is the one policy that Obama will not be able to afford to implement.
I also fear that this election will re-invigorate AQ and that they will step up attacks on the heroes that have volunteered to make the world a better place and to protect my freedoms. I will pray for you and the safety of all!
Please remember that 57M of us held our nose and voted for McCain. We knew the true risks if we didn’t. Please extend our thanks to everyone there.
