I am done buying anything from nieces and nephews that are still in school to supplement their “needed funds”. Although I never agreed with this approach, I usually felt guilty if I didn’t do it. Not anymore.
As for non-profits, I will be much less likely to give. My church giving will go up and I will still make a contribution to the Salvation Army, but beyond that, nothing.
Instead of telling the non-profits that you gave at the office...you can say you gave it to Obama to distribute.
