The anonymous trashing of Sarah Palin by blabbermouth McCain aides who are leaking to Fox News is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.
Allahs got the vid clip of a report citing unnamed McCain staffers accusing Palin of lacking, in Carl Camerons words, knowledgeability.
At least all the Hollywood and Manhattan Palin-haters were willing to sign their names and put their faces on their attacks.
Lets assume the rumor-mongers are telling the truth for a moment. Who does it damn more: Sarah Palin or McCain and his vetters who green-lighted her for the vice presidential nomination? Dont need an Ivy League degree to figure that one out.
Sarah Palin worked her heart out. She energized tens of thousands to come out who would have otherwise stayed home. She touched countless families. I didnt agree with everything she said on the campaign trail. But two fundamental conservative stands she took mattered greatly to me: She vigorously defended the Second Amendment and the sanctity of life more eloquently in practice than any of the educated conservative aristocracy.
And she did it all with a tirelessness and infectious optimism that defied the shameless, bottomless attempts by elites in both parties to bring her and her family down.
Shame on the smearers who dont have the balls to show their faces.
Thank you, Sarah Palin. Thank you for stepping up the plate and serving your country.

More: Ace of Spades is %^&* spitting mad:
Heres a story these staffers tell: Sent to collect Palin from a hotel, she greeted them, straight from the shower (running late, I guess ) dressed (scandal!) only in a bathrobe (presumably a very thick hotel bathrobe).
These staffers called that uncommon Cameron delighted in the word to give it the sound of whorish, unprofessional.
Heh, assholes? She had to open the door and had just gotten out of the shower. Did you want her to use her magical powers of telekinesis to open the door for you?
So is RedState, which announces an accountability project.
"President Obama has four years hands on experience in real world international politics.
Republican challenger Ms Palin has no such experience, only theoretical knowledge with qualifications only months old."
There’s no need to take it as disparagement. Do you really think that it would hurt her to become more informed on the kinds of things she’d have to know to hold her own indebates with the likes of the policy wonks she’ll be up against? I don’t like Hillary and would never vote for her, but no one can deny that she ate lived and breathed politics for years in addition to being an attorney. Ittakes nothing away from Sarah Palin’s virtues a d qualities for anyone to advise her that being up to speed on these issues can I my help her, and without it, she’ll be flayed alive in that environment at that level.
Maybe she can attend the university that Abe Lincoln attended...oh that’s right.
Just sent several emails to FOX, ripping them for this report w/ Cameron. Whether some of it is true or not, not naming sources and basically doing this hit piece has just about sealed it for me. FOX has been slowing going into the Obama camp so they can CYA and get interviews.
And BTW, I have lost all respect for Carl Cameron... he looked like a freakin high school reporter. Carl.. go work for E! or TMZ....
Lincoln was a lawyer by training and profession.
Why are you getting defensive? Ms Palin herself would likely agree withe, she’s not stupid. And we’re not Obamabots, we don’t do “cult of personality”. She’d probably cringe if we did.
Palin Derangement Syndrome: A condition where one goes gibbering apechit crazy when thinking about Sarah Palin
"the most vile candidate ever put forward by the Republicans" - eg per Democratic Underground
POTD!
Kathleen Parker and Maureen Doud come readily to mind. Of course, if you've ever seen their pictures, it is obvious why they would be jealous.
Start with the VP debate where Palin pointed out in response to a question on Darfur that her administration in Alaska was pushing for a defunding of Sudan from state investments.
Secondly, the nutroots were horribly bothered by the pastor from Kenya praying over Governor Palin. The pastor of Governor Palin's AoG Church also did missionary work in Kenya. This claim that she didn't know Africa was not a country is laughable.
As for the NAFTA assertion, Alaska borders Canada and does over a $100 million in exports to Mexico every year. I have to call bee ess on both assertions.
Myself, instead of seeking an additional degree, I would think she should run for the Senate or barring that, do as another poster suggested, and follow Reagan's example of stumping for off-year Congressional and Senatorial candidates. This could serve multiple purposes.
The last would give her lots of “face time” and give her an opportunity to brush up on foreign policy, etc., by meeting with these candidates. Regardless of what she does, I don't think her life is ever going to be the same, but she is always going to have to be careful who she talks to and what she says. Someone is always watching. I imagine she knows about that now, though.
I was wrong, sorry. (and relieved about the M State’s Senator choice. In fact, I worry so much that I keep checking for some change all day.)
Right after the Republican Convention, when the first anti-Sarah hit pieces came out, I told folks that all the talk is coming from women who are insanely jealous of what Sarah Palin has accomplished:
10. Large, happy family.
9. Hands-on Mom.
8. Real ManTM for a husband.
7. Patriotic sons doing service for the country.
6. Girly Girl by nature, Rough-and-Tumble when necessary.
5. High-profile executive posts and accomplishments.
4. Can relate to working families and their problems.
3. Funny and fun to be around.
2. NRA member and outdoorswoman.
1. ...And lookin’ good doin’ it!
In short, she has it all and found the time to do it all!
i agree ..women are picked on
blacks...treated like children actually...spoiled ones
i love Sarah Palin
and like Hillary now more than I woulda ever guessed
i woulda rather lost to her...lib as she is
Okay, Sarah is comfortable in her own skin. So? There's nothing indecent about a bathrobe, and I've been welcomed into hotel rooms by female co-workers in the same condition without any violation of proper decorum. I see this as a non issue. Is there someone who thinks Sarah would have trouble taking care of herself if a staffer got out of line? Is there anyone who would make a move on Sarah against her will, knowing that her husband is tough enough to finish a snowmachine race - and win - with his arm broken?
Shhhhh. You're using logic again. We've talked about that. ;)
exactly...you said what I have been thinking. Thanks
Cindy McCain in bathrobe.
