It’s quite humorous how the Berg/BC case brings out the same regular posters so determined to stop the discussion on the non existant obama BC.

I don’t know about the EC, but it seems to me USSC Chief Justice Roberts would have an interest in ensuring he is administering the oath to an eligible person.

Okay. The election is over. Hussein won. Time to stop this delusional behavior that is currently rampant on the FR. All this eating each other... stupid blame game. Enough already.

Moderators? Can we start week long banning of these people who insist on putting up vanity posts? That’s what I do on the site I moderate. Enough is enough already.

For the record, the electoral college does not meet as one body. Obama’s electors will meet in each state’s capital on December 15th and 349 or more of them will vote for Barack Hussein Obama and Joe Biden to be President and Vice President.
There is no provision for the Electoral College to look at anyone’s birth certificate. Certification of the electoral college vote means tallying up the votes from each state.
It will be Dick Cheney’s responsibility to certify the number of votes that have been received.
A joint session of Congress is held to count the votes and to declare the winners. The chance of a Democratic majority in the Electoral College and a Democratic majority in Congress requesting Obama’s birth certificate before certifying the election is extremely remote.

Vice presidential Candidate filing lawsuit against Obama

In another unrelated action, though also aimed at forcing Obama to release proof or step down, 24 potential Electoral College electors are filing action Monday morning in court also demanding proof

They should not ask for it. They should demand and require it and/or the truth.

Enough with the birth certificate, we have to focus all of our energy on righting our conservative principles. We have spent the last seven years or so reaching across the aisle, making compromises to our principles with the gang of 14, etc. etc. Look how far we have fallen by not sticking to our conservative principles. Conservatism wins as long as you have the appropriate leader. Now is the time to clean house, tell the moderates to go and start rebuilding the Reagan movement. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm tired of always having to move to the center to get something accomplished.
It won't be easy, but the path has been laid out for us. It's up to us, to make our conservative principles priority 1, and not to waiver everytime the MSM turns up the heat. C’mon people, our energy can be better spent on looking forward rather than worrying about the Birth Certificate.

While the Electoral College is very important, the individual Electors are the personification of a technicality. The Democratic Electors will vote for Obama (and the Republicans for McCain) without thinking twice (possibly not even once).

The bottom line is, with all of this B.C. hoopla surrounding this candidate, we must, for the sake of our democracy, verify this mans qualifications. Our democracy has never had to cross this bridge before, this is a constitutional crisis that must be resolved before this man is sworn into office. No its not racists to ask this citizen to present his original birth certificate!

Do you seriously believe that they will require a birth certificate? Let’s go one step further: if it is true he is actually ineligible, what do you think will happen?

Biden

Then Pelosi would only have to whack 1 person.

Yes, but I suspect we may have resources through civil action. They act in a governmental capacity and if they breach their duty to act within the law they may be personally liable for the damages. Its a tort concept and it may work to make the loyalist Dems think before they vote. Nothing like losing your personal fortune to sober up a corrupt public official.

The Electoral College will have the duty to certify that the winner of the "election" is properly qualified to take the oath of office and serve as President of the United States of America. Obama's birth cettificate may be required.

says who? There is no process to examine birth certificates of Presidential candidates. Nothing will happen unless a lawsuit or congressional action forces a process to be established.
