“Believe what you will. They named names tonight. These are not anonymous sources anymore.”

Yes, they did name names - but everyone named has a stake in blaming Palin for McCain’s loss. After all, it is either her or it is “them” or McCain that lost the election,...and they sure as hell aren’t going to let the majority of the people think it was “them” or McCain. Afterall, their precious egos are at stake - not to mention where they’re each going find their next respective jobs. Therefore, they will blame Sarah Palin for their blunders.

Look, I am not going to say Sarah Palin doesn’t have her faults or idiosyncrisies as a candidate or person - never met the woman. However, believe me when I say that I am uniquely qualified to know what goes on in the inner world of politics when things go south. “They” will find one person to scapegoat after a loss or a bad media experience...and they will nail that one person to the wall.

In this instance, consider the source: The McCain campaign team, the authors of an epic disaster...are blaming the VP candidate for dissension and problems that could have led to their loss rather than accepting any blame themselves.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

As for Palin 2012, she is my first choice. By far. Yes, I certainly realize 4 years is a long time and things may change - but that also means they may change for the better for her, mass perception-wise. To automatically throw her under the bus now (and I’m not just aiming this at you, redangus) is disgusting and disgraceful. In fact it is equally as disgraceful as is the McCain Chieftains thrashing her in this manner right after the election. Again, consider the source AND the motivations.

I am not throwing anyone under the bus. And yes my sister has worked on many State campaigns and I know how the blame placing goes when you lose. Sarah is the only reason I voted for Juan. I was going to sit this one out based solely on my strong long term distaste for John McCain, but Sarah changed that. That said I am not sure she is ready at this time for the big boy’s seat. She has even intimated in recent interviews that she is not interested in running again on the national stage so who knows. 4 years may change that or 4 years from now we may have someone brand new that we don’t even know about yet. My first choice right now is Jindal, but who knows moving forward.

My concern is there are too many around here that get overly wrapped up in personalities and won’t look at facts if they don’t agree with them. I am not putting you in this category, but there are many here like that. It makes no difference how much you like someone or agree with someone if they are unelectable. I am not saying Sarah is unelectable in 2012, but I want to know a lot more about her before I make that decision.
