“She demonstrated a very coloquial knowledge of world affairs. She restricted her answers on foreign policy to energy policy and her ability to “see Russia” from Alaska.”

You are basing her statement about Russia from the parsed and edited hatchet job Gibson interview. What she actually said was clipped and edited from a reasonable and lengthy answer about being the only Governor in the U.S. that has to deal with two foreign governments in close proximity. The entire Gibson and Couric interviews were deliberately manipulated to cast her in a bad light.
While the media did everything they could to destroy her, they simultaneously did everything they could to elect Mr. Obama.
So accept whatever accusations you feel will serve your purposes, but put on your flame suit.

Ummm...there is a difference between "accept[ing] whatever accusations" I feel like and being open minded enough to investigate before making a decision.

Sarah Palin may or may not have these faults, but until she has been thoroughly vetted through a long campaign process, I retain my right to be curious.

I will not deify anyone campaigning for president. I am not a Democrat and therefore I will use my brain and my intellect to select the person I believe most suited for office.

Sarah Palin is/was a very attractive candidate and I believe that overall she was a huge net asset to the McCain campaign, but the 2008 election is over and I want to investigate all of the candidates before I commit myself to one.

We have a lot of very good people out there and we have plenty of time to let the cream rise to the top. I don't want a repeat of 2008 in which our candidate was chosen by RINO's and was the least electable, least Conservative candidate in the field. Palin is the odds on favorite so far, but Bobby Jindal is at least as attractive of a candidate, and there are a lot more...
