Notes from the collapse ( of the Republican turnout )

This morning, after having absorbed the substantial victory of Barack Obama, I noticed a couple of interesting items in the data.  Barack Obama certainly won this race, but he won it with just a little more votes than George Bush won in his re-election bid, and the turnout models came up short.

In 2004, Bush beat John Kerry by winning 62.04 million votes.  In 2008, Obama won 62.443 million, a gain of only 400,000. In 2004, Kerry garnered 59.028 million votes; John McCain only got 55.386 million.   That means this election saw 3.24 million fewer votes than four years ago.  Far from being more energized, the nation appeared to be more apathetic.

No, conservatives had no reason to vote. The undecided’s broke for Obama.

Exactly correct! i was checking out Fox forums on the 3rd, many Pubs said they would vote for neither, said McShame was a Liberal baby killer & that he abandoned his first wife etc. etc.

They had no reason to vote or don’t care or a candidate not exciting enough?

Probably the second, don’t give a hoot.

McPain did not win some primaries as there was supposedly lots of vote fraud!

Here in Missconsin & over the border in Illanoyed, there were quite a few Ron Paul signs during the primaries you know i can never remember any McPain signs at all mmmm..... makes me wonder.

Oh, I do believe.....I believe “the long line of blacks & hispanics day in & day out! do you know if you are illegal you can & are gauranteed to receive free medical, food stamps, free childcare, free baby delivery, etc. etc.”.

Way back in the 60’s and early 70’s, my father learned that people on welfare don’t want to work. He owned his own business and sometimes he needed extra workers. He’d walk down to the welfare office and try to hire someone off of the welfare roles. Time and time again these “out of work” people would tell him that they’d rather stay on welfare, thank you very much.

And now we have generations of Americans who have been brought up on our welfare system, and they continue to bear children and teach them about the wonders of government handouts.

Used to be in the old days, when someone needed help, they absolutely hated to have to go to the welfare office. It was a matter of pride and the belief that we should work for what we need in our lives. Many times people who had to use welfare for a period of time would pay the government, and therefore, the people, back!

The Democrats feed off of (get votes from) the welfare lines and racism, and now illegal aliens. And speaking of people who claim they want everyone to be equal and claim they want everyone in America to succeed, let’s hear it from Oprah Winfrey! That woman has done more to hurt the black community than she has helped them.

I could go on and on and on...as I’m sure you could. It is so frustrating that I, someone who has not been a racist, is being labeled a racist for standing up and saying ENOUGH ALREADY! And the biggest racists in this country ARE black people and other minorities. They don’t want a hand up, they want a handout! And I for one am damn sick and tired of their welfare mentality.

They are the ones who stand a hell of a lot better chance at getting student grants, student loans, etc., than any middle of America white child. That is a fact!

Don’t even get me started on BET....the Black Entertainment Television. If we had a show labeled “White Entertainment”, Jesse Jackson and his ilk would be beeeotch slapping us down for being racist. That is a fact too...and we all know it...but aren’t supposed to talk about it.

Ah heck, I’m on a rant, but I’m so frustrated with this equality bullcrap. Anyone and everyone in America has the chance to succeed. And that’s a fact too.
