We should employ George Patton tactics:

“I don’t want to hear any of you say, ‘We are holding our position,’ — I don’t want to hear that kind of BS!!!”

“I want to hear that you are advancing...advancing all the time!”

“I don’t want to pay for the same real estate twice!!”

No. You're response to their tactics gives them their power. Know you're under attack, and you'll be able to deal with it in a logical rather than knee jerk manner.
Their attacks catch people off guard, and your response can then be used against you.
