Have you ever spent some time on DU or Daily Kos? They're some of the most bitter and hateful people. These are the same people that use Alinsky tactics.

We must **especially** take control of education!!!!!
* Government schools can’t be fixed because they are NOT broken! They are doing the job for which they were created. They are turning kids into citizens of the state and providing jobs for socialists. We must work to CLOSE DOWN every government K-12 school in the nation.
* Conservatives must start scholarship foundations that will award vouchers to students attending **CONSERVATIVE** private schools. These foundations could also award grants to CONSERVATIVE teachers will to open one room school houses and home school cooperatives. The foundations could certify the teachers, approve the curriculum, and test the students.
* Conservatives must start private sports leagues to break the monopoly of government schools on sports. It is the sports teams that attract so many of our conservative children to the government indoctrination camps.
* Re: Colleges and universities: Conservatives should pool their money so that they have group power to demand that donations to colleges and universities result in **CONSERVATIVE** curriculum and appointment of conservative professors.
* Conservatives should start summer camps that teach conservative leadership skills.

You are correct. The ends do not justify the means.
This is a golden opportunity for conservatism. With the libs getting at least a 2 year freehand to do what they will the chances of them really screwing things up a great. When all the freeloaders and Utopian’s realize they have been lied to, a smart conservative could rise up and make a wide sweeping change. Call it a cultural revolution that guides collective mindsets to individualist. People may start to take care of themselves when the government that promises everything fails to give them anything.
Now, we only need to find a leader that can pull that off.
I wouldn't be suprised if you found them on the "New Releases" stack at Barnes & Nobel.

Before we doing any of this, it will help for the GOP to first get back to conservative principles. President-elect Obama might be the high-colonic the GOP needs to purge itself of Bushonomics and the neo-cons.
I agree, not wanting to change tactics is like saying we should stand in line and accept fire like the British Army did or we should still use bayonet charges because it’s more “manly”. Why should we still be using the equivalent of single shot rifles against machine guns? Tactics are like fire - it’s the use and intent that defines whether it’s a force for good or ill.
The hundreds of millions of dollars Obama raised probably had more to do with his victory than anything Alinsky thought up. If Obama had to rely on Alinsky’s strategies, he wouldn’t have gotten very far.
I think the point is that there are some good lessons to learn from his books. Basic tactics and organiztional principles in order make things happen for your side. No one is suggesting they become a marxists.
