That is short sighted. Do we want to build a movement or just get an "I told you so" in.
Conservatives are going to be presented with numerous teachable moments over the next 4 years. How we handle these will determine if the movement can once again arise or be relegated to permanent minority status.
It is highly likely that one of these friends will, for example, complain about high electricity bills. When they do your response should be one of genuine surprise. Simply state that you thought they were in favor of higher bills and cleaner air since Obama promised sky high bills prior to his election. Teach them that change has consequences.
Do not blow these opportunities to convert.
Good thinking— I’ve been working on an Obama voter quite a bit this morning. I told her that I hope he doesn’t royally eff things up, but totally expect he will.
This woman is normally a republican, has bought into the complete villification of Bush, hates the spending that went on the past 8 years, and is really scared of socialized medicine and wonders what kind of idiots would want that. Yeah. Those are the people we have to convince.
Subject: CONGRATULATIONS!
Didn't you idiots vote? How did this happen? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
If you think you can reason or convert this person, good luck!
