Here’s where I believe Rush failed, Coulter and Levin as well, for that matter; when McCain earned the nomination (that’s a whole other story), rather than being supportive, not embrace, not bow to but be supportive as the candidate of the party.
How is one to maintain credibility as a voice of support after months of tearing him down. It’s as if someone said he wasn’t fit to sleep with pigs and responding with “sure he is!”.

I don’t recall Rush picking any candidate during the primaries. Rush picked conservatism.

Those people violated Reagan's 11th commandment. They savaged him for almost 10 years.

Rush was the equivilant of the NYT, Coulter the Wash Post, Levin the LA Times and on and on.

Had those papers said the exact things these pundits said, it would have been held up as an example of the drive by media out to destroy the country.

It was destroyed by friendly fire from the jaw bone media.

Rush is only a conservative, being republican has a stinch of unfamiliarity .....not rocket science but who knew you thought that meant to drink the rocket fuel.....
