WECH BAGHTU, Afghanistan – Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Wednesday demanded that President-elect Barack Obama put an end to civilian casualties as villagers said U.S. warplanes bombed a wedding party, killing 37 people, including 23 children and 10 women.

"Our demand is that there will be no civilian casualties in Afghanistan. We cannot win the fight against terrorism with airstrikes," Karzai said. "This is my first demand of the new president of the United States — to put an end to civilian casualties."

I hope President Bush unleashes all of the drones in our arsenal on the tribal regions. Sure, they will go unreplenished in an Obama administration but they would go unused anyway. Maybe this way we can get lucky and take out as many of the leadership as possible before we declare our unilateral cease fire.
He isn’t even president yet and they’re already starting to test him.

Right, or even sooner. The Taliban are celebrating today along with terrorists and dictators the world over. We may quietly begin the withdrawal from the region and the media simply won't report what happens as we do, much like the media didn't report the success of the surge strategy in Iraq.
Karzhai can fight them off himself.

So what could he be thinking?
My guess is that he sees the US pulling out and this is the beginning of his trying to improve his image with the populace and the Taliban.
Playing both sides of the fence for now, moving to the other side shortly.
I wonder if he knows that, just because the media SAYS we have a new president, that it’s not actually true until January? I understand the confusion, the media started claiming he was the nominee months before the convention even happened. This is what happens when people take the news too literally.
Not to worry, Mr Karzai; by February you’ll be on your own!

Time to pay back who got him elected.
The credit card software was not disabled for American voters, that did not have to be done. The only reason to disable that software is it enabled anybody, ie, Illegal doners to donate. The software working would not have stopped a single legal doner.
All it did was check that the persons name and Address matched the number. Not an issue with ANY VALID AMERICAN VISA CARD. Only would be triggered with a foreign doner or a stolen credit card.
This was all about selling out America to the highest bidder. Like some nations that recieve Billions that don’t like us very much. Yes, I suspect our new President is starting as a traitor, and will finish much worse.
Oh, and one more point. Obama (the Bin Laudin one) is not a member of a standing army. His death is a civilian one.
Maybe he'll be good at it. Who knows? This is the first job he's ever had. /s
