The center has definitely shifted, but with only 36% of people self identifying as conservatives, the party is in trouble.
I don't actually trust that number. The big problem is that we have allowed the DBM to define what conservatism is and they have corrupted the definition.
If WE define conservatism, I think many, many more will realize that conservatism is NOT the demon that the DBM has defined it as.
