I've read a few articles here and there about how gun sales are skyrocketing because of this new dictator about to take power.
I'll be purchasing several handguns, shotguns and maybe more in the coming days myself. I no longer feel safe in this country and believe the Gestapo is about ready to come after those of us that challenge the authority of the dictatorship.
We shall see.

Agreed! Thankfully I have all the guns I need, however I will be stocking up on some more ammo here directly.
Just make sure you have a good place to hide them when the Obamanite Thugs come to take them away from you (unless you prefer to ‘go out in a blaze of glory’).
An acquaintance was at the Ft Worth gun show this past weekend. ALL of the standard price AR’s were gone, most of the lowers as well. All that was left on Sunday was the gouge-priced stuff. I suppose that will be next.
To anyone who thinks this kind of tactic would be anything other than temporarily psychologically satisfying, I ask: how much training have you had in resisting Gestapo? Or resisting your average swat team?

Oh PLEASE! we had a nut kill a swat team member with a single shot shotgun not 4 months ago. The swat team killed him, but how many doors will they kick down if they lose one man every door they kick in. It’s a war of attrition. They would very quickly loss the war. They start kicking in doors and getting killed for it and they’ll stop kicking in doors. The reason we have a right to keep and bear arms is so we can overthrow the government if we had to. Buy yours while you still can!
I'll take your bet, in less than 6 months, an assault weapons ban will become law. That's just the first step. But I'll bet you think an assault weapons ban is a good thing!

Plenty of us have a great understanding of history. As in the history of marxist takeovers of free people that trample on their rights. Obama is best friends with a man that advocates the extermination of 25 million conservatives for their views. They may get me, but I’ll take a few of them down with me.
It may not be paranoia. Chuck Schumer wants to bring back the “fairness doctrine” to shut down talk radio(as in shutting up Rush, Hannity, O’Reilly, Savage, etc.) and he’s also a gun grabber.
With the Dems in control of the White House, the Senate and House, there’s nothing to stop them from going through with it in the next 4 years.
I have an AR upper, a new rifle, and at least two pistols I’ll be buying the next couple of weeks.
