If CNN’s map is accurate (big ‘if’), there’s about another 10 thousand in Franken votes in St. Louis (assuming it plays out as it has so far). Is there anything in St. Louis County that might be both rural and slow arriving?

(yawn)

The scumbag Democrats will challenge this prop in court and get a permanent “stay”.

In other words, “Prop 8” will meet the same fate as every other proposition passed by California voters. And the people will simply bend over, grab their ankles, say “thank you”, and then go back to sleep....

Big deal.

I wish I knew St. Louis county better than I do — this is going to come down to Cass, Benton, and Wright versus what remains in Hennepin (which doesn’t worry me that much) and St. Louis. Gosh, it’s going to be close!

I’m down here in the south end of the state and spent the last two days on a street corner holding a sign for a local candidate. We had “Yes on 8” kids show up on one of the other corners. They were highly popular with passing motorists. I took to pretending that the horn-honkings were for my guy.

That was all Hennepin/St. Louis. Benton/Cass/Wright did not move. 38 precincts left in Hennepin, 69 in St. L.

Where I live in the South Bay (SoCal) we had Hispanic women and their children come out on a major intersection (all four corners) with signs supporting prop 8. I haven’t seen anything like that since I have been living here. Maybe ‘No’ will close but I think Prop 8 is viewed differently than normal conservative props - at least I hope so.

Well, I finally got a look at the state map, and there’s a surprising “yes” vote in Los Angeles county, which may be the Hispanic influence there, too. The ‘no’s’ are in the predictable pattern up the coast. At any rate, LA is well below 50 percent counted so far, so there’s lots of potential votes there. Maybe the Times got one right for a change.
