That update included St. Louis (57.07% reported), Cass (56.94% reported) and Traverse (70% reported). [1st one is dem turf, 2 & 3 are pubby turf)

16,500 at 93% — when does Coleman get in the clear?

That’s a great question — I wish I could see a map of the specific precincts reporting in Hennepin and St. Louis. I have to start thinking that even if he has strongholds left, we have enough of Stearns, Benton, Cass, and Traverse to offset them with this small lead.

Oh this is exciting. We’re almost home on this one.

Hennepin county is at 77.8% voter turnout with 56 precincts to report — that tells me the remaining precincts are not densely populated, which is a great thing for Norm.

Traverse shows 100 percent counted, Norm up by 19. Looks like Hennepin is pretty close to all in, that’s encouraging.

Fox reported a while ago that the Franken supporting areas had mostly come in. The race was still too close to call, but they thought that Coleman would probably win. It looks like that is happening.

That update was heavy Stearns (good pubby turf) and a chunk of Hennepin (40 precincts left to report). Stearns is almost done. Sec. of State website shows Traverse still at 75% reported, but there aren’t that many votes there anyway. Benton hasn’t moved for a while - that is a Norm stronghold. I’m carefully optimistic... St. Louis is the question mark at this point.

Well - we have one silver lining out of California - prop 8 (marriage amendment) is extending its lead as more precincts roll in - 41% in and Prop 8 leads by 336,000 votes.

The tradition the last few elections out here has been that Alameda and Los Angeles counties are slow to report, so conservative measures have an early lead that disappears around dawn. I’d have looked up who reported so far, but Debra Bowan’s now running the SOS office, so the website, which has worked perfectly for over a decade, is fouled up tonight. I’m sure Debra’ll be around in the morning to tell us all it’s not her fault, though.

Hennepin County is at 82.1% voter turnout... there can’t be much left there.
