Like they are in mine? Columbia, SC.
Nothing here in far West Fort Worth, either. No, Wait!..., oh, that was just me sighing.
A sad day for America.
glad I missed that—what state?
Dead quiet in Tualatin, OR, a suburb of Portland.
parties and cheeers in my upper middle class suburb of Los Angeles.
Only someone who hates America would be cheering tonight.
Scary thought: imagine what they would be doing if McCain had won. They would not be cheering and shooting fireworks, they would be rioting and looting. It wouldn't have been pretty. Ugh.
Liberal college campus...nightmare, locking door.
“Are People Running through Your Streets Cheering?”
No, but someone is running through my house screaming...
oh wait, it’s just me
Yep. You’d think their team had one the Super Bowl. It’s chaos outside.
Folks in my small neck of the woods are dressing in black and cover their faces with ash. The mourning begins.
I live in an integrated neighborhood (about 50/50) and I haven’t heard a peep. I expected a few car horns or the like, maybe a firework or two...but utter silence. I think that speaks well for my neighbors. We didn’t gloat when Bush won, they won’t gloat because Obama won.
or when they’re wondering what happened to that inheritance they expected
Nope...nary a sound except I think a racoon fell off my roof a little while ago. Not too much reaction back here on the dirt roads of Illinois. Speaking of dirt roads, do you think that now that we have the give it all away president...I could put in for them to pave my road? Just a little gravel would be nice.
Most were active duty military. I suspect an exodus like during Carter and Clinton’s years. We are in deep trouble.
Oakland, CA - Fireworks, celebratory small arms fire, car horn honking, and occasional shouts.
Yeah, my next door neighbor (the lone 0bama supporter on the block) was honking his car horn in his driveway when McCain conceded. I went out and yelled something like “Shut up, decent people are trying to sleep”, and he scurried back inside and turned off his lights.

I'm seriously considering moving to either Orange County, SD county or ventura county. LA is lost
I mean Northwest HWY. Pretty quiet. No cheering or parties.
