I think it would be a simple matter to compile a list

I would love to see such a list compiled then posted on FR. Then all of us, whether or not we own businesses, could play a small part in bringing these companies down.

I think it would be a simple matter to compile a list

I would love to see such a list compiled then posted on FR. Then all of us, whether or not we own businesses, could play a small part in bringing these companies down.

There are two ways to do this.

We can create a "Consumer Advocacy Group" with periodic report cards on the friendliness of businesses to our side. Then it is up to each person to act individually. I can see this accomplishing one of the goals, which is hurting those who support socialism, but I do not see this accomplishing our other equally important goal, which is to let them know exactly why they are being punished, and who is punishing them.

Example: We all decide we don't want to support Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream (FOR EXAMPLE PURPOSES ONLY), and buy Breyer's instead. Ben and Jerry's sees a drop in profits and Breyer's sees a rise... BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHY.

We also have no way to gauge our success, or if everyone is acting together or not. We may see a dip on B&J's annual report, but we cannot track our progress.

Plan B: We organize, pool our assets, and act en mass. We do this by creating a mutual fund, or a holding company, like Berkshire Hathaway functions for Warren Buffett.

We purchase friendly companies, and we send them a note letting them know who, and why their shares were purchased. When one crosses us, we sell their shares, and we send them a slightly different note.

Those with small market caps who cross us (and may make a profit, which is our ultimate goal) we can purchase enough shares in to gain a seat on the board, or even an outright majority.
