Thanks from me too JimRob. Free Republic made this nightmare of an evening as enjoyable as it could be under the circumstances.
It wasn't until this year I realized how important this site is to me. Thank you, Jim, for FR.
After reading the reasoned, encouraging posting in this thread, I actually have some...wait for it...hope. This is the big shot for the liberals, their big chance to shine...and they have set the bar impossibly high with new and unseasoned voters during a time of unprecedented economic and international crises. It is now their show, with Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Schumer and co. as the stars.
Could this be the blessing with the best disguise ever? Or is it lack of sleep?

Could this be the blessing with the best disguise ever? Or is it lack of sleep? Probably a little from column A and a little from column B.
There is no way he can live up to the hype and unrealistic expectations projected on to him from his followers.

I have been so down tonight that your point hadn't even crossed my mind yet. The libs will have no one to blame but themselves when things go horribly wrong, as we know full well they will. Of course, we know they'll still point the finger at W...

Could this be the blessing with the best disguise ever? Or is it lack of sleep? Yes, it could be. Or not. I think the choice is up to us. We have to make a silver lining for this cloud.
This is the liberals show now. At least for the next two years. In those two years conservatism need to "get busy living or get busy dying" as Morgan Freeman once told Tim Robbins- who I presume was eventually able to cast his vote for his messiah. We need to use those years to rebuild.
If we use these next two years to fix our problems and go on the offensive we have every hope of making 2010 the year of Elephant. Or it can be the beginning of the end. We decide.
