I think it's time to start a "What went wrong tonight" thread, and the first reason should be that the GOP didn't field a truly conservative candidate and instead elected Bob Dole clone in McCain to try and win. So much for a RINO in McCain thinking he could win.

Second on the list would be the complicity of the MSM is shaping public opinion against the GOP, their sworn enemies. I still say we need a completely conservative news station to counteract the effect of the socialist MSM out there now.

Third, the GOP had no real message and McCain could never gain any traction until this last week, but it wasn't good enough.

Fourth, thanks to the likes of Karl Rove and President Bush the GOP was destroyed with no hope of winning and stemming the tide of evil that will now pervade the entire government in Washington. God help us.

The Palin-McCain ticket did surprisingly well here in this Central MO County, just as well as GWB in 2004 in our precinct, but I suspect a lot of that had to do with the enthusiastic reception that Palin received this weekend here in this area.

When. oh, when can we rid our party leadership of leftist, (compassionate) amnesty RINOs and actually begin again to win as Reagan showed how it could be done.
