Barry's honeymoon with the people and, ironically, the Congress, will be brief. The first rule of selling is to never promise more than you can deliver, and Barry's gone far past that.

What natural food sources do you have? What can you grow and preserve? What skills do you have? A man with a trade can go to any town and find work. Learn to make soap. In times of hardship, everyone needs soap. Otherwise, diseases break out. Soap can be made with ash and fat. That's all you really need.
Get creative. Look at those things around you. Look at them upside down. What do you see? What did the frontiersman do? Buy a survival book and look for ideas.
If you can do something with what you have, you've gotten much farther ahead than where you are now. Keep it up. Over time, you'll be surprised at all the things you come up with. Make it a hobby. You'll find out you actually enjoy it.

Water here is a finite resource and now that Obama has been elected our water situation is probably going to get much worse, People here grow rocks and plants that require little or no water, the price of water is more than the cost of the food.
