First whole states close in 12 minutes.
Yes, this one was “odd” because it was in fact a slow-motion coup that transpired over nearly two years aided and abetted by a mainstream media that got what it wanted/
Thug Culture will now be ensconced in the White House.
We are going to have to assess this situation realistically and determine just how we might have to resist. Considering what has been going on since at least the Clinton era, I am not surprised to see all this happen.
And maybe what really makes it odd, and almost “dreamlike”, is the way in which the ENTIRE election, and both campaigns were entirely engulfed in the sudden market meltdown, which swept everything else off the table, and rendered as “non-issues” all those things we thought this election was going to be about:illegal immigration, and the Iraq War chief among them. Obama will wind up doing NOTHING about the Iraq War that a President McCain would not have done, but two months ago that looked like the main advantage he’d have over “Bush/McCain”. SO, the meltdown and the bailout makes this whole thing look like a “manufactured crisis”, which was discussed earlier on FR.

That’s okay :)
Maybe Walter Williams was right, with his column some months back about the possible necessity of a peaceful succession.
WELL WE LOST, CONSERVATISM IS DEAD fr IS NO MORE AFTER JAN. 20TH 2009, RUSH AND CO. ARE GONE. USA AS IT WAS 1776-2009.
RAPTURE TIME GOD, TAKE US NOW!!!
Yes indeed...most frustrating. We'll hear a big Huzza on occasion about how FR has gotten some nifty/zippy upgrade, but the same-old, same-old always fires up.
I, for one, have kicked enough of my meager bucks into the kitty, yet have seen ZILCH in the way of improvements.
It's time for Jim and John to stop upkicking the quarterly "goal" from 60K to now near 80 without starting to piss off the base......hint to the Robs: Kick it up, before you raise the bar any more, OK??
(If this little screed doesn't get me banned or suspended again, nothing will.....)
Good bye
I have some soul searching to do, possibly some career changes.
I know longer know who my fellow citizens are, they are turning this nation over to a total Sphinx. We will have a president who we know nothing about. We don't know for sure if he is a citizen, we don't actually know his name - Barak or Barry, Sotero or Obama, we don't know his school records, we don't know who paid for his education, we don't know his medical records, he only served in the Senate 2 years, he has never had a job, he never published an academic paper as a law college instructor, first black guy to be named an editor of the Harvard Law Review....and the only editor to have never written a paper for that journal, he may or may not have authored two autobiographies of himself. Someone who has associated with murderers, bigots, & criminals. Apparently the American people are fine with this! Who are my neighbors, these people I see on the street and who I will see tomorrow at work. What else will these people be fine with?
Good bye FR it was a pleasure while FR lasted....
As horrified as I am of what’s about to go down on the Obama Administration’s watch, I feel liberated. Let this be the end of the McCain wing of the Republican party.
We have just crossed over to Thugocracy rule.
I was in East Germany in 1983, this will be a rerun of those days.
Oh please. Give it a rest. Rush and FR aren’t going any where.
They hate religious people & social conservatism. This is the problem the GOP faces— many people who should be/ could be fiscal/ national security conservatives won’t join themselves with the social cons, especially when the soc cons are seen as running the party.
So, until we rebuild that coalition, enjoy the leftist killing of our country.
Though, didn’t Bush get 60 million plus votes in 2004? McCain is sitting around 36 million as I type this. It definitely looks like something is amiss.
Hey there! YES! That bastard HAS to go once and for all. I am just sick about this, no one knows anything about this man and he got more votes than any candidate in our history!!! What is wrong with our country??? I am sick of our media... Fox included. They just said VA went blue because of all the people who have moved into the technology companies out by Dulles airport, they are educated people voting for socialism.
Between right now and January 20th.
And there it is. It is officially over. Darkness does indeed descend on us.
A sad time for America. Amazing just 20 years ago Ronald Reagan was handing off to George H. W. Bush; America was strong and generally united. Look how far we’ve fallen... to the point of electing a radical of a frighteningly shady past. A frightening time has commenced.
God have mercy on us.
