The town has more registered dems than republicans now. Not very suprising. Only 4 republicans registered there though.
6 - M
15 - 0
Not a very telling sign folks so dont lose heart but he did get more votes than republicans in the town. :)

Are you a Democrat?
What’s with all the defeatism on this board tonight???
Knock it off please.

Who cares about NH - we all knew Maverick wasn’t going to carry this state - let’s hope PA, CO and NM are other stories. If we lose PA, CO and NM then we truly would be f’d in the rear.

I suspect these people didn't want to be branded as racists.
Dixville Notch is the closest thing we have to open balloting. Everyone in America is going to know who you voted for. If McCain had won, then Dixville Notch would be branded as one of those redneck racist areas like Western Pennsylvania.
I'm actually surprised that anyone voted for McCain.

There are 19 voters, I donb’t think voter fraud is a problem there, lol.

And I know that President Humphrey was very pleased back then.

Hubert Humphrey narrowly lost to Richard Nixon in 1968.

well you will have to admit it’s surprising to see BushI and Dole supporters voting for the Messiah
maybe there has been some death turnover

First Democrat to win Dixville Notch since Humphrey in 1968.

Why? Because someone who won those votes in the primaries in that area won those same votes in the GE?

I agree that this is just a small sample...But we are not getting ANY good news. It’s been 40 years since this town went for a democrat. 40 years!!!

Bad, and weird.
What possesses people to flip their votes around so much so quickly in a backwoods town like that?
