I had high hopes that these Dixville Notch voters were still solid Republicans and would vote for their sentimental favorite candidate - John McCain - who always seems to do well in New Hampshire. I didn't see any live video of them voting. Maybe some of the old Republicans have died, and their replacements are young voters?
Well, I'm certainly not going to get depressed over it... these are only 21 votes we're talking about.

That part really gets to me. I know several intelligent people who are voting for Obama because they think it’ll put an end to a “horrible past” and will end disagreement between the races. Um, what? Given the church Obama spent years at and the philosophy he grew up with, if he wins, I expect his presidency will divide this nation on race more than it’s been in recent years.

NH law is different. It allows a town to close its polls after the entire population has voted. These towns are tiny so they open early and close early.

I know several intelligent people who are voting for Obama because they think itll put an end to a horrible past and will end disagreement between the races. I don't why people keep believing this despite all contrary evidence. Detroit, DC, Memphis and I could keep naming others but electing someone just because they're black doesn't seem to work at racial reconciliation.

Giuliani wanted to ban handguns, was pro-abortion and supported gay rights, while Romney said he would ban semi-auto weapons and he was pro-choice until he decided to run for president.
I wouldn’t have voted for McCain if he had chosedn Giuliani or Romney, and most of my pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment friends wouldn’t have voted for him, either.
Palin’s the one we’re all voting for...

Happy Birthday to an obviously not so Dumb Blonde.
I hope you get the best of all birthday presents. I too feel a
sweeping surge and comeback across the nation for Ron Paul.
Well, maybe you’ll get your second birthday wish. Cheers

What's with all the defeatism on this board tonight??? Times get good; times get bad. Realistically looking at the facts on the ground says that this is an example of the latter.

There was a guy on Freerepublic trying to get the home address of a USMC general a few hours ago because he endorsed McCain. Huh?

This is a sign that ACORN is attempting to steal the election.

I don’t like this. I have never been a fan of the Iowa/New Hampshire duopoly.
I don’t like how this town gets to declare their votes early either.
It’s BS, in my opinion.

Since Humphrey?
Not a bad sign at that! :)

There are only 7 republicans in the town. It isn’t a GOP town anymore.
