It would be ridiculous if anyone were to cast a sympathy vote for Obama because of this. My theory is that for every sympathy vote, there will be another voter who compensates by NOT casting a sympathy vote. (Actually, it would have made more sense for someone to vote for BO to give the old lady one last thrill. Too late now.)

I live in Missouri ... a state where you can still see “Still For Mel” ... people who voted for a dead man so yes, sympathy votes are real and timing is everything.
Don't underestimate the breathtaking stupidity of a very substantial percentage of this country's voters.

Well .. there's your problem. You dare bring up the concept of "LOGIC" in regards to this election! I would submit that at least 50% of the electorate .. the swooning 0bamaoists .. has NO concept of the theory of logic (bumper sticker slogans like "HOPE" and "CHANGE")!
I saw it posted best yesterday like this: "A large segment of the electorate has watched so much TV and played so many video games, that the visual center of the brain are the size of a cantaloupe and the logic and reasoning portion is the size of a small pea."
